Turku - Finland - Brinkhalli

Brinkhalli in the city of Turku was the former market place, centre of Turku city and home to Gabriel von Bonsdorff. Now a trust the central site is managed together with Brinkhalli Manor which lies on an island 17km from the centre of Turku. Between frozen lake and sea the island is part of the extensive Turku archipelago.
Collaborative work with Susana Nevado and students of the Arts Academy explored the public/private spaces of Brinkahalli and changing power structures of that have led to the development of the contemporary city centre.
