London - Bethlehem - Palestine | ||
This
work was made in collaboration with William Parry who is a photo-journalist.
Working with a community in Bethlehem ghetto he photographed messages
from Palestinian children to the people of London painted on the separation
wall together with iconic graphic images. During the week leading up to
Christmas Beverley Carpenter and William Parry projected these images
onto chosen landmark London buildings. These included war monuments at
Marbel Arch, Hyde Park Corner, the Royal Courts of Justice, St Paul's
Cathedral, The National Gallery, The National Theatre, the Houses of Parlaiment,
Oxford Street and the BBC.
