Projected from the balconies of the flats opposite the projection site the residents become very involved and supportive. Lots of people viewed the work coming out onto balconies of the flats and gathering in the street. There was a lot of discussion about the estates and areas with friends and family members appearing in the video and friends being brought to see it by others. The flats house a diverse community from many different backgrounds.
This site has a lot of problems with crime and anti social behaviour as well as a lot of wonderful people and creativity. Plans to work with some of the young people here are being put into place in order to produce films and events in collaboration with myself as artist.
